    Update on Joe’s Surgery

Filed: Daily Miscellany — Scooter @ 11:36 am

I’m delighted to report Joe’s back surgery yesterday morning went
exceedingly well. The neurosurgeon replaced discs from L2 to S1, doing this
from the front of Joe’s body with a cardiovascular team in addition to his
neurosurgery team, and on Saturday he will put titanium screws and rods in
Joe’s spine in another surgical procedure going in from Joe’s back. The
operation is called a “360″ for obvious reasons… So, I guess you could say
Joe got a “180″ done yesterday in the four-hour operation!

Amazing guy that he is, by yesterday afternoon, Joe was alert and cracking
jokes despite having been under anesthesia for four hours, never mind his
post-surgical pain. He will remain in the hospital between the surgeries,
and will likely be there for at least another week. I will post an update
on how Saturday’s spinal fusion surgery goes.

Many, many thanks from both Joe and me to all of you who have sent your
prayers and good wishes. We deeply appreciate it and feel certain they have
    helped!

    With thanks and blessings,
    Nancy “Scooter” McMoneagle

Awesome. Glad to hear it Scooter. Setting best faith for Saturday’s second surgery now. Hope you can smuggle something edible in to him in the meantime. ;-)

Scooter- Thank you for the update. How pleased I know everyone is to hear that Joe had successful surgery yesterday. He has been in many of our hearts, as have you.

I have a friend who had similar surgery 3 years ago and while it is rough, she is in amazing shape and so pleased with her new quality of life.

Lots of love coming your way! Thanks for giving us a way to communicate, and for us to hear the GOOD NEWS!

      Peace, always,

      Kennedy (and Vinnie!)

Joe, you are amazing. Have you thought of extending your psi abilities to healing others, now that you are doing so well on yourself — the doctors don’t get all the credit.

Bill sends his love along with mine to you & Scooter, whose update we really appreciate,

      Sally

      Scooter & Joe,

Scooter, thanks so much for the updates as I’ve been thinking of you both constantly since the surgery began. As always, your incredible energy and optimism leads us all to a higher plane of hope and intention.

Joe, well, your incredible feats never fail to amaze me so why should your surgery be any different? Way to go guy! You should’ve seen the juju dance I did last night - All I can say is… the cats helped. ;-)

I’m really jazzed at the thought of how much your lives will improve when this journey is completed. It’s been so long deserved. Keep the faith!

      Lots o’ love & huggs,

      Caryne :)

Joe we know youre a type “T” kinda guy- but ain’t this a bit extreme -even for YOU!??? LOL Listen,Joe we can get thrills alot easier ya know!

IN any case I’m sure the Dr’s were on their best behaviour knowing that you were watching the whole thing! Oh man!

Well you two! I get dizzy just reading about all the stuff youre doing!

I’ve landed [quite happily] in Glenwood Springs! REAL Hot springs here~!! GIGANTIC pools about three blocks from my place! HINT HINT HINT!

WOuld make a great excuse to come out and visit us! They claim it has “world reknowned rejuevanting powers” ANdddddd
Supposedly, Doc Holliday was interred underneath our B&B [before the B&B was here] during the winter after his passing [the archives state it was too damn slippery and cold to carry him up to the cemetary so we buried him on so and so’s lot on the corner of 8th & Palmer-until it thaws!”

WE have two spirits here, [well, tht is additional spirits I guess] according to some who’ve ‘felt’ them… I havent “felt” anything but good stuff but I do want to know who has been turning the teapot on! [and it aint the cats] At least they only do this when there’s water in it!

Must be Lottie Palmer. She’s here too.

Pauls returned form Nica - brought a nasty chest cold with him which I’ve now got! But its great having him home again - even if its only for a little while. Somehow I think he’ll be headed for the M.E. again. [SIGH]

This blog rocks! Thank You for finding the time and energy to do this. It probably helps makes it easier to keep the freinds and family updated huh?

      I love the backgrounds too.

Joe, are you boning up for the ultimate person location? [I’ll refrain from using the word ‘target’.! [hehehe] Wonder if anyone in the position to ask- would be wise enough to listen -and check it out- if you did?

Maybe it’s best not to be attempted.

Damn Good pics too! I really love to SEE you guys! Its a powerful inspiration!
You both look really good too! Happy, healthy, and together. Looks like all that jethopping and travel suits you! [yeah rght!]

Well, I sure hope that I can figure out another damned good reason for you two to come and visit us here. [Hmmmm!]

      I’ll keep working on it!

Oh! will send you news in a future email about that little place underwater thats been bugging me for the past decade! ;^)Seems like some good might come from it after all- the shrimper wrote me and said CBS just interviewed him for 2 hours. We’ll see if Greg treats him fairly. Lamar and Carol deserve it!

Maybe we’ll find out what it is after all!

All The Best [ and more!]

      Aaaaggghhh…..
All this human stuff of having to re-arrange the relative parts…
The vibes say that you’re doing well, and will continue to do that, so that’s great….
Looks like there are lots & lots of friends on guardian-angel duty for you Joe ( and Scooter :-) , and that’s the way that it should be.
We’ve all got you on remote auto-pilot!
      Enjoy…..

    11. Sandy_Frost Says:

    12. Morgan Says:

*really* happy to hear that things went well! I hope the next one on saturday goes by just as successfully. Again.. will be thinking of you. I have been a lot over the last few days. kind of unusual.. i am not really an overly sympathetic person in everyday life, and i dont know you at all of course.. but i just emphatically wish you well. I want for you to be ok. experience little pain and heal quickly. to that end i add my little light to the crowding sea of lights all wishing you an easy healing process.

    13. Don Williams Says:

Thanks Nancy, for letting us know how he’s doing. My wife had a similar surgery years ago on some vertabrae in her neck. In her case, they went in through the front as well. It will be over soon.

My warmest wishes for you both.
      Don
